I Left High Grade Family Because I wanted To Be Like Cristiano Ronaldo Not Messi - Kofi Kinaata
Rapper Kofi Kinaata who recently parted ways with his record label 'High-Grade Family' owned by renowned dancehall artiste Samini, has disclosed that he left the label by taking the risk of exploring other areas.
According to him, he doesn't want to be at one place for too long so when his five years contract was due he took the risk to call it a quit. Speaking further, Kinaata said he was very big and enjoying stardom at his base in Takoradi where he started doing music but when 'High-Grade' approached to sign him he accepted and took the risk to follow them to Accra. He said he's like footballer Christiano Ronaldo who always takes the risk to move from one club to another, not like Messi who has remained at Barcelona for years.
"I love to take the risk, I was like a king and enjoying stardom in Takoradi, I didn't even think of moving out of Takoradi but when 'High-Grade Family' came and said they wanted me to come to Accra, I took that risk and left that crown and came to Accra. I did my best with 'High-Grade Family' people heard of me, the exposures were there but I think is about time I move to another level, am like Cristiano Ronaldo, I don't wanna be in Barca! Barca! like Messi." He said in an interview with Arnold Mensah Elavanyo on Vibes in 5.
The 'Sweety Pie' hitmaker who admitted that it was a big risk he took by leaving his record label, said he did it because after five years he thinks he's done and wanted to leave his comfort zone to explore other areas.
Kofi Kinaata said his own 'Team Move' is running his affairs now so if anybody is interested in investing in his career his doors are open.
