"Captain Planet Didn't Believe In Obi Agye Obi Girl" - Kofi Kinaata Reveals

Musician Kofi Kinaata has revealed that Captain Planet of the defunct group 4x4 did not believe in his song 'obi agye obi girl' which eventually became a massive hit.

According to him, they recorded the song in late 2016 but Planet was feeling reluctant to release it because he thinks it's not good enough, but through his forceful appeals and the words of a Dj, Captain Planet finally dropped the song and it became an anthem in the country.

Kinaata stressed that he foresaw the potential of the song becoming a hit because he knew the taste of the Ghanaian populace.

"Captain Planet sent me his part and I did my rap verse, we recorded it late 2016 he didn't even believe in that track, i was the one forcing him- won't you release the sound?- won't you release the sound? and he said he will until he played it to a Dj who said it is good sound before he released it. I told a lot of my friends that this is a banger and this is what Ghanaians want to hear". He said in a chitchat with Arnold Mensah Elavanyo on vibes in 5.
Kinaata being a multiple solo hitmaker has earned him the respect of collaborating on different songs with great Ghanaian musicians. The 'Confession' singer entreat his fans to look forward to his massive collaborations with the dancehall's finest Stonebwoy and rap king Sarkodie dropping soon.
